Pineapple Yum

pineapple-yumI am one of those people that likes to try new things. Specially if those things are cheap and easy. Like 2 ingredient recipes.

Now I have learned the hard way that not ALL 2 ingredient recipes are good or even work, but some do. This one did.

If you like pineapple, you will like this.

1 box of white cake mix

1 20 oz can of crushed pineapple

Put in a bowl and stir.

It will turn in to a very runny batter.

Poor batter in to a 9×13 pan and bake in a 350 oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Let it cool or burn your mouth. (your option)

I made this yesterday afternoon and it was gone this morning when I got up. So I know I am not the only one that liked it. It also goes very well with vanilla ice cream.

You can use a yellow or angel food cake mix.

Only cost me $2.48.

Hope you enjoy!

Sweet Sun Tea

I am a big fan of McDonalds Sweet Tea, but around here it’s only around at certain times. So I decided to find out how to make real Sweet Tea. I was surprised it was very easy. It is just Simple syrup and Tea.

I am also a big fan of Sun Tea so I have turned my Sweet Tea in to Sweet Sun Tea. I make about a gallon a day and everyone loves it. If you like tea and have a sweet tooth like me, I will give you the recipe. I promise you will love it.

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 tea bags

jugYou will need 1 small cooking pot and a 2 quart glass jug. (I use an old coffee maker pot)

Open your 6 tea bags and remove the end papers from the strings.

Tie the strings together and drop them in the glass jug.

Now grab your pot and put the water, sugar and baking soda in it

Turn heat to high. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

As soon as it starts to boil remove from heat.

Pour in to your jug over the tea.

Add 4 more cups of water to your jug.

potNow set you jug outside in a nice sunny place.

It will take about 4 to 6 hours for a really nice tea to steep.

I like to leave mine out all day, then put it in the refrigerator all night.

When your Tea is ready, just pour it in to your favorite gallon container, add more water to fill, and you are done.

Grab a glass, fill with ice, and pour.

Sun TeaThe nice part about this recipe, you can make it to your own taste.

If it is to sweet, cut back on the syrup. You can also use sweeteners instead, or honey.

You can add lemon if you like.

Using frozen berries as ice cubes is always fun too.

You can use Simple Syrup for so many thing.

Try adding flavors to it for more ideas.

Let your imagination run wild.
